Play
Suddenly got this tune in my head....................
Kangaroo Kangaroo dutty kangaroo
Sitting on the railway & doing no.2
the no. 2 is dirrty so wash it in the sea
cut it into pieces & hav it 4 ur tea!!
It was one of the old 'dip/dib' songs we used to sing to decide who's the 'denner'. Sounds like crap, rite. Maybe to today's kids. But all d ppl who grew up between mid 90's & 2002 (1st 10-12 years of life i mean ) shud remeber wat me say. If yawl used to play that is. And no, i don't mean like a specific sport, i mean just "play". Those simple games where u just need some other ppl & an area(cud be a building/park/colony/playground) & ur imagination.
The best part about childhood is coming back from skool, dumpin' yo bags & goin down to play............
Another one of those songs i just remembered................
Once a budda met a buddi under a mangotree
Sed the budda to the buddi - will u marry me,
say yes or no?
Lolz,,,,i'm in splits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nowadays' kids......i dont really see anyone playin those games we used to play. Or playing period(.) Maybe all are in tutions....they go from KG itself! Gawd! Imagine i got bugged goin for tyoots for 10th & 12th & they have their whole skool life left!
And rememba the ~ frock ~ ??
I rarely ever see any kid (girl) wearing that anymore! O my! And i only stopped wearing 'frocks' wen i was like 10 or 11.
Well, today's generation of pre-teens may be taller & less innocent, but am i glad i ain't one of 'em!
PS> AND, they're missing Cartoon Network! And i mean the original one which used to be in English & after 9pm switch back to TNT.....it was an integral part of my childhood...it even taught me my English!!

Flying
Flying - aaah.....i love it! Maybe cauz i've done it only like twice in my life, and the first time i was a very leetle kid so i don't remember it anyways. But the 2nd time was quite recently, when i went on a trip to Goa with my mom & sis. Believe it or not, it took less time to fly there ( around 45 mins ) than it takes to travel by road or rail within Mumbai, say from the suburbs to the south. Anyhoo, i think it totally matters who ur travelling with - it does determine if u will have a fun experience or not.
Of course, my flight lasted quite a short while. I guess longer flights wud be a bore. So, we boarded the flight & of course fighted a bit over who gets the window seat, & then listened as one of the flight attendants told us wat to do in case of emergencies. I gotta say, the air hostesses on my particular flight didn't look anyting exceptional, like they're portrayed as usually. But this depends on the airline u r flying with.
Also, some airlines serve free alcohol & stuff, but unfortunately not the one i travelled on. Or may b that's only on international airlines...i dunno. So, then came the takeoff. As expected, i got that feeling of my stomach dropping but surprisingly my ears didn't get that blocked. Take offs are definitely more fun than landings! While landing, we felt a bump or 2 during touchdown, & then we were cruising on the runway for a pretty long time. Almost feels like ur sitting in a car.
Hmm. the view.......the city got smaller & smaller( quite ugly cauz of too many buildings) till u cud only see the sky. The sky gets pretty boring after a while, same old blue with fluffs of cloud here n there. But the runway while touchdown looked great cauz it was night time & all lighted up.....like bordered by diamonds. But the scene during the take off from Goa was nice.
Ok, now i'll tell u the best part of the plane ride.....the food! I don't exactly remember wat they served, but i can't forget the chocolate mudpie/pastry. It was soooooooooooooooooo delish. I was really tempted to ask 4 one more, but dint. Sigh. i hoped that we wud get to eat it again during the return flight, but it was not to be. Sigh again. All in all (damn, i haven't used that phrase since a long time) the snackies were kool.
One thing i wanted to do, but totally forgot was to check out the loo. Like, mayb i wud have caught a couple in there, like in the movies!
So, that was my flying experience, pretty relaxing & kool; tho another time i felt i'm flying ( in a totally different sense tho ) is when galloping on a horse. That also i hav dun v.rarely, like the last time was abt 4 yrs back....it's so much fun but it's not 4 the horse.......how wud u like to run with a human on ur back?
Something to remember on a long flight is to get up & stretch ur legs every 2 hrs or so, cauz there's an increased risk of thrombosis whenever u sit in one place for too long without moving. Also, fasten ur seatbelts during takeoff, landing & turbulence.

Hello wats up sleepyhead? Saw Casino Royale the other day....usually hate 007 movies but feelin bored on a saturday nite. Ssok it was timepass better n not as borin as the few other james bond movies i've seen. Daniel craig luks pretty old tho he thinks he luks so hot...he's pouting thruout..he thinks he's angelina jolie?? only she can pull it off. Not rene zelleweger & certainly not daniel craig! Anyhoo, they've picked the worst lukin Bond girl ever...n the first one (who dies) was even uglier. And,, she had an uncanny resemblance to none other than the gawd awful yukta mookhey. Yes rememba her? i do, but only b'coz BT keeps putting her pixs and dissing her...
Also saw Perfect World..dis one tugs at ur heart strings!! aaaawwwww
Hmmm also saw Down by law...nice one.

So.......Michael Phelps got his 8th gold...how surprisng!! He's like a fish n hav u noticed he's got the same expression on his face almost in all his pics - mouth hangin open while smilin...lol luks so out of it....damn n he eats loads of stuff everyday like pasta pizza....yummy!!
Did u see Usain Bolt win the 100m sprint? Livd up to his name 4 sure....he started celebratin long b4 crossing the finish line n continued dancin 4 quite sum time..after all he's jamaican......
Hmm wat else? Rafa won gold n he's d nu numba 1......so glad fedex is on his way out..he's so perfect he's like a robot so boring....rafa is anyday better n he luks hot too......
Olympics is s'posed to be great to watch but 4 us indians who hav to put up with DD its not. Their coverage is so down in d dumps. They hardly show stuff like swimmin divin gymnastics but keep showin boxin wrestling fencing sailin rowin which is not dat interesting....n half the time they show ugly ppl analyzing stuff rather than actually showing the events. And weneva thers sum indian in the event they switch to indian commentators droning in hindi...sheesh...truly hopeless.
